Pastor Donna McDowelll embraces her assignment from God to encourage, instruct, train and assist believers in spiritual maturity. As an anointed teacher, her messages are designed to inspire people to pursue their God given destiny. Pastor McDowell believes that success in ministry can only be attributed to an intimate relationship with God and sensitivity and obedience to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Donna has been involved in the work of the ministry since early childhood. She was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois and she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to complete her undergraduate studies in Business Management at Georgia State University. She went on to obtain a Master's of Business Administration in Marketing at Clark-Atlanta University. She worked for 17 years as a professional sales consultant in the pharmaceutical industry. She is a 2010 graduate of Richmont Graduate University of Atlanta, GA. and holds a Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. She aspires to become a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that effectively integrates Christian principles and psychological concepts. Her degree specializations were Spirituality and Counseling, and Christian Sex Therapy. Pastor Donna has a heart for working with families, couples, teens and women.
Pastor Donna accepted her call to the ministry in 1988. While awaiting God's designated time and season for her to move forward in the five-fold ministry call to teach, she was faithful to the posture of prayer, the study of God’s word and diligently served in various areas of ministry. In June of 2001, Pastor McDowell received her ordination from Bishop Keith A. Butler, Pastor of Word of Faith International Christian Center of Southfield, Michigan. She currently serves as the Vice President and faculty member of the Agape Bible Training Institute for ministers, she serves as the CEO of Agape International Ministries Community Development Corporation and she established and oversees the Agape Women of Destiny.
Pastor Donna serves as a praise and worship leader and flows as a psalmist. She released her freshman C. D. Project entitled “It’s All About You” in 2006. Featured on the C. D. are 14 songs inspired to her by the Holy Spirit. These melodies from heaven serve to encourage believers to place God first in their lives, seek the Holy Spirit for instruction and rely on the Holy Spirit for empowerment.
