Mission Statement

Agape International Ministries Bible Training Institute is a Christ-centered Holy Ghost-led School of Ministry. The Institute is committed to enhancing the God-given gifts of Believers so that they are able to successfully fulfill the call God has placed upon their lives. The Pastor, Ministerial Staff Members and Administrator of the Institute share the following aspirations:

To gain state-wide recognition as an Institute of producing national Biblical leaders;
To assume a state-wide leadership role in developing supernatural leaders through both the courses offered and the anointed faculty members’ guidance;
To serve as a model for other Bible Training Institutes in developing collaborative partnerships with other Bible schools and in utilizing visiting faculty members from like-minded ministries.

History

Agape International Ministries’ Bible Training Institute’s Charter Class began their studies in April, 2001. Members of the Charter Class include Adrienne Carter, Jacqueline Fields, Kim Martin, Vivian Pinkett, Sharlene Sanders, Sandra Vincent, and Solomon Williams.

Faculty members include Pastor McDowell, Minister Donna McDowell, Minister Craig Ray, and Visiting Professors, Ministers Janet Green, Harail Johnson, and Lethris Murray. Minister Bess White serves as the Dean of the Bible Training Institute. She is a member of Faith Christian Center, pastored by Keith A. Butler, II. Both Pastor McDowell and Minister White are Word of Faith Christian Center School of Ministry 1998 graduates. Minister White is also a Management Doctoral Candidate at Capella University.

Since being an excellent communicator is one of the traits necessary to be successful in any area of the ministry, the initial course offered is “Communications”. Major emphasis is placed upon both oral and written presentations.

Other courses include, to name a few, Word of Faith Doctrine; Bible Training Methods; Authority of the Believer; Children and Youth Ministry; Old Testament; New Testament; Biblical Economics; Music and Praise; Church Administration, Government, Politics; Ministry Gifts; Counseling; Pneumatology; and Principles of Preaching.

The Bible Training Institute’s classes are held on Monday evenings from 6:30PM – 9:30PM. Two Saturday mornings per month are also occasionally required.
