Pastor Lucius McDowell teaches the Body of Christ how to develop and maintain a personal relationship with God. He has the ability to use words of encouragement which commands listening audiences to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. The messages ministered provides thought provoking passion and conviction which creates a desire for believers to grow and desire to experience more of God’s power.

 

In 1996, Pastor Lucius joined the ministerial staff at Faith Christian Center located in Smyrna, Georgia.  He served as a Minister of Music and Staff Minister under the leadership of Bishop Keith A. Butler. Pastor Lucius was an honor graduate from Word of Faith International Christian Center in 1998. He was ordained shortly thereafter.

 

In 1999, Pastor McDowell obeyed the prompting and directive from God and founded Agape International Ministries, Inc. The first service was held at Wesley Lakes Elementary School where ten people joined that day. Today, Agape International Ministries is housed in a new facility and is located in Hampton, Georgia.

In 2006, Pastor Lucius became a certified trainer in Church Planting as he successfully completed requirement from Dynamic Church Planting International in Oceanside, California.

 

In 2010, Pastor Lucius pursued advance education and received the Master of Ministerial Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.

 

In 2011, Pastor Lucius embarked upon his first mission trip to Eastern Europe to minister the Gospel and to do missions ministry.  Pastor traveled to Athens to Milan, Italy to minister and to do missions to the Greek Island of Corfu on to Albania. He continued ministry in Mireka at Hope for the World Children's Home and finally to Tirana at the Stevens Center.

In 2012, Pastor Lucius released his freshman CD Project entitled "Prophetic Utterance".  In the same year, Pastor McDowell appeared on several Christian television programs to include TBN in Akron, Ohio as well as on Atlanta TV 57.

 

In 2014, Pastor Lucius embarked on his second mission’s trip as he traveled to Uganda, Africa known as the "Pearl of Africa".  While in Uganda, Pastor Lucius preached the Word of God and ministered as a Psalmist day and night as many people received healing, inspiration, and encouragement. 

 

In 2015, Pastor Lucius continued to make a kingdom difference while serving as the Repatriation Coordinator and the Interim Manager for the Limited English Proficiency Sensory Impaired Program (LEPSI) at the Georgia Department of Human Services.  Pastor Lucius served as the Repatriation Coordinator from 2015 through 2021 and as the Interim Manager for the Limited English Proficiency Sensory Impaired Program from September 2019 through February 2020. While serving as the Repatriation Coordinator, he was responsible for overseeing the U.S. Repatriation Program that serves individuals, families, or mentally ill repatriates in need of assistance upon arrival to the United States for Emergency and Non-Emergency Repatriation activities to include U.S. Citizens being returned or brought from a foreign country. While serving as Interim LEPSI Manager, he served as a subject matter expert regarding Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.

 

Pastor Lucius will release his second CD Project entitled “Through Him…” In the Winter of 2022. He is married to Co-Pastor Donna McDowell.  They reside in McDonough, Georgia with their two lovely daughters. He and his family demonstrate their knowledge of Christ as wells as the reward of life-giving service.
